Valentine's Day 2015

Valentine's Day was an easy going day this year.  Instead of really trying to go above and beyond, we treated it like a regular date night, and we had so much fun.  There weren't any crazy expectations on my part (you're welcome), and Bradley seemed to have a good time too.

This little diva begged to go to College Station with Nana and Papa to visit her Aunt Kari.

So after we dropped her off, we headed to Sugarland to go to the movies.  I had been at the church working on the presentation all morning so we didn't eat breakfast or lunch.  I knew we were eating dinner next, but I NEEDED FOOD NOW.  These chili cheese waffle fries hit the spot!

One of us was a little happier about the movie. :)

Afterwards, we went out to eat Sushi since I had been having massive cravings for the past two weeks.

It was a great afternoon/evening of spending time together doing the things that we truly enjoy.  I couldn't have asked for more...except for maybe more sushi to take home.  I could always eat more sushi.

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentine's Day Card 2015

My tiny princess is getting to be not so tiny anymore.  As you can see from the photos below, she is full of personality and (as Madaline would say) charisma.  She is going to be such a great big sister because she has so much love that she wants to share with everyone all the time.

Happy Valentine's Day Emmy Baby!  Daddy and I love you more than most. :)

Michelle and Kyle Tie The Knot

Kyle and Michelle got married yesterday in Austin at a cute little house on a hill.  This is a super special couple to Brad and I because they were part of our close group of friends at A&M.  In all actuality, Kyle is one of the first people that I met at Hart Hall when I got to Aggieland.  He was this weird kid with crazy dreads and during one of our first conversations, he swears that I called him a druggie.  I do not remember this conversation at all, but it sounds like something I might have thought about him at the time, so I guess anything is possible.  I didn't meet Michelle until later, but I remember thinking that she was one of the smartest girls I knew because she was an AEROSPACE ENGINEER!   Well two wrongs don't make a right, but apparantly two super smart engineers are right for each other because these two complete each other perfectly.

We had a great time at their wedding catching up with old friends, seeing new babies, and getting crazy on the dance floor.  It was a perfect evening.

Congratulations Kyle and Michelle.  If you marriage is a tenth of the fun that your wedding day was, you will be one of the luckiest couples I know.  :)

Bradley's 29th Birthday

We had the pleasure of attending the wedding of two of our friends on Bradley's birthday, so we didn't actually celebrate until Sunday.  I can't take credit for any of the work that went into this impromptu party.  My mom called me when we were driving back from Austin and asked what Bradley wanted for dinner.  From there, she made fajitas (YUMMY) and called some other people to come over.  Brittany stepped in and made Bradley a dirt cake (one of his favorites).  So in summary, my family is the best!

Even though Bradley insists that he doesn't need any fanfare on his birthday, I think that he was pleased.  Everything was delicious and it was the perfect end to a great weekend.  The countdown starts now, so I can throw him a great 30th birthday party. ;)

Senior Serve 2015

This year I know quite a few seniors personally, but I wasn't expecting to attend Senior Serve.  As fate would have it, someone in Destiny's family couldn't attend, so Brittany and I got to go.  Her tables were absolutely beautiful and original--just like her.

The show was one of the best Senior Serve shows that I have seen yet.  They kept the crowd going, and there were a variety of seniors involved.  It was a great night of food, fun, and entertainment overall, and I am so glad that I got to be there. :)

The Glow Run

One of the clubs that I help sponsor decided that our big event for the year would be to host a glow run 5k.  It was a ton of work, and there are a thousand things that we will change if we do it in the future, but I think everyone who came out to run had a great time.  Below are a few photos from the run. :)

Jason's Birthday

Jason and Wendy were down for Jason's birthday this year, so we knew that we needed to do something fun for him.  We had already exhausted all of the local places by this point in their visit, so we knew needed to get into the car and drive.

Jason likes Italian food, so we settled on Maggiano's in Downtown Houston.  The food and atmosphere were divine, and we had a blast trying a mix of appetizers, entrees and desserts.

After we finished eating, it was already pretty late because of the slow service at the restaurant. We kept joking that our waiter had gone home for the night, and then he came back and made (what we hope was) a joke about falling asleep in the back.  Next, we headed out to Katy to see what Top Golf was all about.  By the time we got there, the place was BUSY.  It was like being at a club.  There was an hour wait for a space, so we hung out and people watched to pass the time.

Although Wendy and I couldn't actually play, it was a neat experience and one I would do again.  Britt and the boys had a great time trying to best each other's best score.

All good things must come to end, so we finally drove back into El Campo at the ripe time of 2:45.  My mom is a saint and was still up playing with the little girls in the living room because Marlee cried when they tried to go to sleep.  Emmy is a night owl too, so it was no problem for her to literally still be running laps around the room at this time.

Happy Birthday Old Man Jason.  Hope you had as much fun as we did.
