When we took Emmy for her two-year photos, Butterfly Chaser Photography also took some new family photos for us. I really cannot begin to describe how much a love Sarah and the photos that she has captured for our family. This was our fifth session with her, and so many of my favorite photos of Emmy are because of her. It is so nice to just show up and have someone else be in charge of making photos happen for a change. We met Sarah at the Administration Building at TAMU. All of the photos below were taken there.
This was one of our first shots. It took Emmy a few minutes to get warmed up to the camera.
This one of my favorites from our family photos. It is just fun.
Sarah got one of just Bradley and I. I love him. (most of the time)
Bradley and Emmy always get such great photos together.
She seems to love Mommy a little too.
This is my favorite of just Emmy and me.
My favorite family photo of the day.
Thanks Sarah for capturing us at this stage!

Emmarie's Two Year Photos
This may come as a shock, but I spent a lot of time thinking about Emmarie's 2-year photos. I knew that I wanted to take a new family picture too. I knew I wanted the wonderful and talented Sarah Giles of Butterfly Chaser Photography to take them. I knew I wanted part of the shoot to be inspired by a photo I found on Pinterest. So I began shopping and picking up outfits here and there until I had amassed a huge pile of "photo shoot" outfits. In the end her cooperation only lasted through three outfits, so it was good that we started with the "must haves."
All of the photos were taken at Texas A&M University in College Station. All except for a few in the turquoise outfit were taken at the Administration building on campus. This is one of my favorite building on campus, and I took some of my bridal portraits there. Needless to say, it has boo-koohs of sentimental value attached to it.
This little blue dress came from H&M, my new favorite store. She wore the yellow bow last year for her one-year photos as well. I love navy blue, and I think it makes her blue eyes really pop!
You can really see her little attitude in this one.
Not the most attractive picture of Emmy, but I am so glad that Sarah included it. This is a face that we see on a regular basis.
Since she was getting a little bored with us, we took some time to change her clothes and give her a snack. She spied Minnie Mouse, and it was over. She had to carry her around for that whole outfit. I kept trying to distract Emmy and hide Minnie, but in the end, I really love the photos with her. This is who Emmy is right now. She is spunky. She is fierce. She loves Minnie Mouse.
I love this one!
I bought this little dress on a whim at Marshalls one day for $10. Best impulse buy Ever! I love the turquoise and pink. Her pink glitter shoes are from Babies R Us. I bought her another pair of silver and the pink ones this year. They are so cheap, and she can wear them with everything.
She got these sunglasses for her birthday from my cousin. She loves them.
Last but not least, we took some Audrey Hepburn inspired pictures. I pinned a picture of a little girl in an outfit like this when Emmy was a baby, and I knew that I eventually wanted to get a picture of Emmy in a similar outfit. I ordered the outfit on ebay from a private vendor, but when it got here, I realised that I definitely could have made it myself. The tiara and bracelet are from Charming Charlie, another store I just fell in love with. (I know! I am like 5 years late to the party!)
I love this big cheesy grin!
I thought the black doors and the black dress would be too much. I was wrong. I absolutely love it.
Maybe my favorite of the day...at least the top 5.
I love her here in the glasses. The whole trip to College Station was worth it just for this picture.
We took some family photos too. This post was dedicated just to the awesomeness that is Emmy, so I will post those separately later.
