Gulf Shores Vacation 2014 {Road Trip}

Our #BAMABOUND beach trip began at approximately 5:30 in the morning.  We got up and got all of our stuff ready to be loaded into the suburban.  Mom, Dad, Britt, and Kari got there to pick us up around 6:40, and we headed out of town.

After a stop in Beaumont to pick up Grannie Nelson, and a quick stop in Orange to meet up with Grannie and Papa, we were on the way again.

We stopped for breakfast in Sulfur, LA at Cracker Barrel.  I don't know about you, but a road trip just wouldn't be complete for me without some CB biscuits!

After this, we got back on I-10 and started making tracks.

Emmy watched movies on the Ipad and had fun looking at the scenery out the window.  Some people (cough cough) had other ways of passing the time.

Eventually she took a nap too.  You mean you don't clutch your sandal laden feet when you nap in the car?

There was something wrong with the Atchafalaya Bridge in LA, so we had to add about four hours worth of detours and traffic to our journey.

We finally made it to the other side of LA, and we stopped at Krystal Burger, so Grannie could get her tiny burger fix.

A few more hours in the car, and we arrived at our beach house a little after dark thirty.

Sorry about the blurry pictures to follow, I was following in people and trying to snap a few pictures of the house before all of our stuff cluttered the place.

The view of one half of the living room from the front door.

The other half.

The dining room table.

Aunty Cindy's room upstairs.

The sleeping half of the kids' bedroom.

The sitting section of the kids' room.  I some how didn't get a photo of their huge closet and the TV.

My beautiful room for the week.  We lucked out and got a room on the 1st floor because Mom and Dad wanted a room with a balcony...so they had to make their way to the second floor. SCORE!  I didn't manage to get pics of the other two bedrooms before all of the stuff got brought in.  The house was amazing though with five bedrooms and five bathrooms.  Perfect for our extended family.

I made homemade pizzas for dinner that night, but I also made Dad and some of the others zuchini pizzas since they aren't eating bread right now.
