Bek's Graduation

Our little baby Rebekah is growing up!  Bek's graduation was a ton of fun.  We headed up there on Friday morning, so we could help Aunt Cindy decorate the house.  They had her party right after graduation.  It was a little stressful for Aunt Cindy, but so nice in the long run since they got everything done that night before Rebekah went to project graduation. Here's a little run-down of the weekend.

Lincoln was such a trooper on the way there. He was a great riding buddy!

JT was so proud of his sister at graduation.

Rebekah got lots of awards and honors that night (and some scholarships too!).

She looked so pretty when she accepted her diploma!  All of her hard work paid off.

There were lots of family in from out of town to wish her well.  We got to meet our newest little cousin, Landry.

After we left the ceremony, we headed back to their house to PARTAAAY!

Everyone was in good spirits and ready to revel in  Bek's accomplishments.

These little kiddos were more interested in each other.

I see some mischief makers in the making!

That weekend, we spent plenty of time being with family and enjoying our hotel's amenities.  The girls loved the indoor pool.

All too soon, it was time to go home.  These little divas knew they would miss each other, but they knew it wouldn't be long until they saw each other again.

Happy Graduation Rebekah!  We are so proud of everything you have done so far, and  we know the best is yet to come for you.  You can and will do everything you set your mind on, and we can't wait to be there for you all along the way.  :)

Jonathan's Getting Married

We traveled to Fort Worth for the weekend for the wedding of our fellow Hart Hall resident Jonathan!

We didn't get to Fort Worth until the wee hours of the morning.  The next day, my first priority was getting this little diva down to the pool area to play for a few hours.  The Radisson had a great heated pool and hot tub area for her to play in, and BONUS there were a few other kids and moms down there at the same time.  Built-in friends!

After her two hour pool session, it was time to get ready and go to the wedding.  The ceremony was held at at beautiful church on the TCU campus.  Unfortunately, they did not allow photography of any kind in the chapel, so I don't have any shots from there.

Below are some of my favorites from the ceremony.  I didn't really keep my camera glued to my hand, so there aren't the normal pleathora.

We lovingly joked that we had made some imaginary cut by being invited.

Emmy latched on to Elisa and followed her around all night.

Of course these two had to work the dance floor a little!

When Dustin started singing "Don't Stop Believing," Emmy rudely covered her ears.

The next day, we met up with Dustin, Christina, and Caroline in Dallas for lunch.

Caroline is just so sweet!

After lunch, we hit the road and started our trek home.

When we got to Waco, we made the executive decision to stop by the Magnolia Farm store.  Unfortunately they weren't open so we couldn't go in, but we did take a couple of photos out front.  We love Fixer Upper!

We stopped on the way home and took photos of Emmy in the bluebonnets as well, but that's a whole other post.

Congratulations Jonathan!  We are so happy for you guys, and we can't wait to see where your story takes you!

Gulf Shores Vacation 2014 {Road Trip}

Our #BAMABOUND beach trip began at approximately 5:30 in the morning.  We got up and got all of our stuff ready to be loaded into the suburban.  Mom, Dad, Britt, and Kari got there to pick us up around 6:40, and we headed out of town.

After a stop in Beaumont to pick up Grannie Nelson, and a quick stop in Orange to meet up with Grannie and Papa, we were on the way again.

We stopped for breakfast in Sulfur, LA at Cracker Barrel.  I don't know about you, but a road trip just wouldn't be complete for me without some CB biscuits!

After this, we got back on I-10 and started making tracks.

Emmy watched movies on the Ipad and had fun looking at the scenery out the window.  Some people (cough cough) had other ways of passing the time.

Eventually she took a nap too.  You mean you don't clutch your sandal laden feet when you nap in the car?

There was something wrong with the Atchafalaya Bridge in LA, so we had to add about four hours worth of detours and traffic to our journey.

We finally made it to the other side of LA, and we stopped at Krystal Burger, so Grannie could get her tiny burger fix.

A few more hours in the car, and we arrived at our beach house a little after dark thirty.

Sorry about the blurry pictures to follow, I was following in people and trying to snap a few pictures of the house before all of our stuff cluttered the place.

The dining room table.

Aunty Cindy's room upstairs.

The sleeping half of the kids' bedroom.

The sitting section of the kids' room.  I some how didn't get a photo of their huge closet and the TV.

My beautiful room for the week.  We lucked out and got a room on the 1st floor because Mom and Dad wanted a room with a balcony...so they had to make their way to the second floor. SCORE!  I didn't manage to get pics of the other two bedrooms before all of the stuff got brought in.  The house was amazing though with five bedrooms and five bathrooms.  Perfect for our extended family.

I made homemade pizzas for dinner that night, but I also made Dad and some of the others zuchini pizzas since they aren't eating bread right now.
