Here is a quick overview of my pregnancy. There are more photos, but let's be honest. This late in the game, you would much rather see photos of the baby in a few days!
And that's how you grow a baby Barnes' style!

Kari's Ring Day
After a series of unfortunate events, mostly due to rain, my baby sister finally got her ring on Saturday morning. Because of the change of how they were handing out rings on this make-up day, we knew we wouldn't be able to get back to the giant ring statue to take photos after she got her ring. I loaned her mine for a few minutes so we could get these.
Once it was time for me to get into the photos, I "repo"ed that ring really quickly. ;)
Love these guys!
Finally it was her turn to go into collect her Aggie bling.
We moved out of the way so that my dad could give her the ring with a little pomp.
It was a very touching moment. There might have been more than one teary eye in the group.
She's officially one of us now!
Have I mentioned how awesome she looked?
There were some other people that were excited to be part of the day as well.
She sure does love her Rah Rah.
I love my family.
I especially love these two. Even when we're getting on each other's nerves, there's no one who really gets you like your sisters.
This is probably my favorite picture from the whole day (and no it's not because you can't see that I'm pregnant). This photo encompasses all of the hard work and effort that we have put into our futures. It's like a pictorial representation of all of the prayers, love, and money that our parents funneled into us over the past eight years.
Family photo op before we left.
One more good shot of this chick before we left the Association of Former Students.
Right as we were about to walk back to the parking garage, the Aggie Bus drove up, so we knew we had to stop for a few more photos.
There is probably a photo like this of all three of us from each of our ring days.
I don't know that I looked this good though. ;)
Congratulations Kari! We are all so proud of you, and I know bigger and better (if it's possible to get better than ATM) things are in store for you!

Maternity Photos
We didn't go all out on maternity photos this time. It's not that I don't think this baby is just as special, but time just seemed to get away from me. There were a few photos that I had seen on Pinterest that I knew would be special to have, so my wonderful sister Brittany agreed to go outside on a muggy Sunday and take them for me. Below are the fruits of her labors, and I must say that she did a fantastic job. Call her for all of your photography needs. ;)
That's a wrap folks because he will be here before I can blink!

School Baby Shower
The ladies in my department at school threw me a surprise baby shower. It was the sweetest thing, and I cannot say how much I appreciate everything that these ladies have done for me over the past few months. I could not ask for a more caring and generous group of people to work with every day. Both Baby Barnes and I are so lucky!
There was cake and lots of goodies to eat.
Our amazing department.
Lorie made Lincoln a quilt and a crocheted blanket. She's just super talented.
There were LOTS of diapers. These ladies knew what I needed.
Of course I had to have a photo with the cake before we cut it. It was vanilla with pineapple filling. My favorite!
I'm a really lucky girl, and they got me with this surprise. I'll have to think of a million ways to pay them back. :)

Easter 2015
This Easter was kind of special because we are finally getting to the point where Emmy understands the concept of holidays and their special meaning. We read books about Easter and we had a talk about how this is a special day for Jesus. I'm saying she really understood all of the intricacies, but our level of comprehension was light years ahead of previous years.
We started off the morning with some photos of the princess in her Easter dress. This was followed by a small freak out on my part when my CF card malfunctioned and I lost everything. Luckily we were up early so I popped a new card into my camera and did my best to recreate everything that we had done.
Look at my sweet girl with Teddy. They are best friends and pretty much inseparable.
I thought that she would wear her pretty church shoes, but of course my sweet little girl insisted on wearing her cowboy boots. They have been in every major photograph that we have taken for almost two years. At least we got our money's worth out of them I guess.
Our flowers just happened to bloom the day before Easter, so she needed a picture with the "pretty flowers."
My sweet baby girl and I
Our big group after church
Our family of three is becoming four!
After church we went to Mom's house for lunch. It was AMAZING!
Later Emmy had the opportunity to search for Easter eggs. It was quite a sight to see 12-15 adults following this little girl around the yard as she looks for the eggs.
It was a beautiful day spent with family, friends, and our church. May we always remember that this holiday is not about food, bunnies, or eggs. It is about the fact that HE IS RISEN!
