The Ray Wedding

It was with the happiest of hearts that we traveled to Stafford, TX to celebrate the wedding of one of my greatest friends.  I have known Cookie since I was a baby, and she has always treated me like family.  I spent the night at her house with the big girls, she was my chaperon on church trips, and she let me go places with the older kids when that was all I really wanted.

When I found out that she was getting married ( and she asked me to take her bridals) I was so excited.  If anyone deserves a happily ever after and a dream wedding, it is Iesha.

Because I decided to adhere to their wishes, I didn't take any photos during the ceremony.  Here are some snaps from during the reception though.  Every thing was beautiful and we had a great evening.

Because the wedding was held at a historical home, we left Emmy at home.  I didn't want to pay for any broken heirlooms.

We snapped a couple of pics of these two cuties outside by the vintage car.  This was the venue owner's grandmother's car.  So cool!

I sure do love this lady!

To make the night even more memorable, Iesha sang(!) to Keith.  Her rendition of  "At Last" will always hold a special place in my heart because she sang it at my wedding too.  There weren't many dry eyes in the place after the song was over.

And like all good things, the night passed by in a blur of excitement and fun.  Dances were danced, drinks were partaken in, and memories were made.

Congratulations Iesha and Keith Ray!  Thank you for allowing us to share in the merry!

Jonathan's Getting Married

We traveled to Fort Worth for the weekend for the wedding of our fellow Hart Hall resident Jonathan!

We didn't get to Fort Worth until the wee hours of the morning.  The next day, my first priority was getting this little diva down to the pool area to play for a few hours.  The Radisson had a great heated pool and hot tub area for her to play in, and BONUS there were a few other kids and moms down there at the same time.  Built-in friends!

After her two hour pool session, it was time to get ready and go to the wedding.  The ceremony was held at at beautiful church on the TCU campus.  Unfortunately, they did not allow photography of any kind in the chapel, so I don't have any shots from there.

Below are some of my favorites from the ceremony.  I didn't really keep my camera glued to my hand, so there aren't the normal pleathora.

We lovingly joked that we had made some imaginary cut by being invited.

Emmy latched on to Elisa and followed her around all night.

Of course these two had to work the dance floor a little!

When Dustin started singing "Don't Stop Believing," Emmy rudely covered her ears.

The next day, we met up with Dustin, Christina, and Caroline in Dallas for lunch.

Caroline is just so sweet!

After lunch, we hit the road and started our trek home.

When we got to Waco, we made the executive decision to stop by the Magnolia Farm store.  Unfortunately they weren't open so we couldn't go in, but we did take a couple of photos out front.  We love Fixer Upper!

We stopped on the way home and took photos of Emmy in the bluebonnets as well, but that's a whole other post.

Congratulations Jonathan!  We are so happy for you guys, and we can't wait to see where your story takes you!

Michelle and Kyle Tie The Knot

Kyle and Michelle got married yesterday in Austin at a cute little house on a hill.  This is a super special couple to Brad and I because they were part of our close group of friends at A&M.  In all actuality, Kyle is one of the first people that I met at Hart Hall when I got to Aggieland.  He was this weird kid with crazy dreads and during one of our first conversations, he swears that I called him a druggie.  I do not remember this conversation at all, but it sounds like something I might have thought about him at the time, so I guess anything is possible.  I didn't meet Michelle until later, but I remember thinking that she was one of the smartest girls I knew because she was an AEROSPACE ENGINEER!   Well two wrongs don't make a right, but apparantly two super smart engineers are right for each other because these two complete each other perfectly.

We had a great time at their wedding catching up with old friends, seeing new babies, and getting crazy on the dance floor.  It was a perfect evening.

Congratulations Kyle and Michelle.  If you marriage is a tenth of the fun that your wedding day was, you will be one of the luckiest couples I know.  :)

Chip and Alyssa Tie the Knot

Chip (or Maurice as his friends never call him) and Alyssa got married at a picturesque ranch in the Conroe area.  The ceremony took place under a huge tree growing near the banks of the lake.  Behind the couple rolling hills loomed in the background.  It was amazing.

Several months ago, Alyssa contacted me and asked if Emmarie would like to be the flower girl at the wedding.  We of course agreed, but I cautioned her that Emmy would not even be 2 1/2.  I wouldn't be able to guarantee that she would "perform" well.  Alyssa just laughed and said that whatever she did would be cute.

Fast forward to the wedding day.  Everything was beautiful, and we got to see so many of our Hart Hall friends.  It was an awesomely amazing day of fun and laughter.  At the reception we all crowded the dance floor swaying to the music and singing at the top of our lungs when crowd favorites came on.

Chip and Alyssa- if your married life is half as fun as your wedding, you two will be happily married for the rest of your lives.  Congratulations to you both!
