Jordy & Erin's Wedding

Jordy and Erin got married in Bryan, TX.  Because of a scheduling oversight on my part (I thought it started at 5 and it started at 2), we only got to attend the reception.  It was beautiful.  Weddings are like mini-reunions for us and our college friends.  It is a time for everyone to get together and celebrate the couple, but also catch up on each other's lives.  We are so blessed to have become friends with so many amazing people, and although we don't always get to see everyone very often, when we are together it's like no time has passed.

Congratulations Jordy and Erin!  May your life together be as beautiful as the two of you.

Family Christmas Pictures

It's that time of the year again. It's time to send out Christmas Cards give thanks for the birth of our Lord and Savior.  In honor of his birth, and the sending out of the cards, we took new family pictures.  I spent a lot of time coordinating our outfits for this shoot and planning out/making Emmy's special second outfit. I found Emmy's dress at Carters and I knew that I wanted her dress to be the focal point of our picture because let's be honest, she's definitely the cutest.  I added a pop of red into mine and Brad's outfits, and tried to keep our colors neutral.  The only bad part was that my pop of red was in my shoes (new red glitter TOMS to match Emmy's) and you can't see them in any of the pictures.  But it's okay.  I know that I had them on, and I fully plan on wearing the same outfit to Christmas dinner so I can show them off then as well.

We met Sarah in Bryan to take the pictures early on Saturday morning. Bradley and Kari were going to the LSU v A&M game later that day so it was good that we were getting it finished early.

Our little angel was all smiles while her Daddy was holding her.

The hair clip that I made Emmy for the shoot...One of my first tries too!

Next we changed Emmy into her Pinterest inspired outfit that I put together.  The pictures started out a little roughly.  Emmarie did not want to stand on Ms. Sarah's box.

She warmed up a bit though as we went on.  She was interested in the bell on the tricycle.

To say the hat was a little too big would be a bit of an understatement.

Oh No!  I seem to have lost my hat! (most effective when read in a British accent)

Awesomeness Returns to College Station!

We all knew that this time would come. The time when all former students must return to the homeland. Most specifically a group of my friends. We were returning to College Station. With this return we brought back something that CS had desperately been missing since our departure. Awesomeness!

All seriousness aside, (lol) I had a blast reuniting with some of my college buddies in College Station. We went to all of our favorite hang-outs. The most important stop came first: Layne's Chicken Fingers!!!!! We love this place, and I ALWAYS go anytime I am in College Station. The weekend was a blast, and it was a good opportunity to see some of my younger friends that are about to graduate (tear tear) before we all are gone and departed into the real world of jobs and hectic schedules. I must say that it really made me feel old when we went to the mall and they had TAMU class of 2014 shirts hanging in the windows of the shops!! Oh well, Kari will be part of the class of 2016, so I guess I better start getting used to the idea of feeling REALLY OLD.

Anyway, we had a really good time, and I can't wait until we plan another trip! If you want to know more about all of the awesomeness that occurred on this trip, you will just have to come next time so you can see for yourself! :)

P.S. Ask me about the street walker that tried to sell Brittany, Oscar, Brad and I perfume on Northgate...the perfumes/colognes have very colorful names! :)

Visiting Brittany & Valentine's Day!

Well this year for V-Day we were due in College Station for a visit to Britt's house. We had all kinds of adventures while we were there. We went to the movies, dancing, Northgate!, shopping...and of course we ate at all of our favorite spots. We also went to the mall and took photobooth pictures! We were going to go paint something at Upaint-it, but of course all of the good boyfriends were taking their girlfriends to make something so they were full! Anyway, we had a good time! Yay Laynes!!
