Santa Monica Beach {My Free Trip to Los Angeles} Part 2

As I previously stated in Part 1, our hotel was located right across from the beach.  If you know Brad and I very well, you know that we love the beach.  Unfortunately, there were several factors working against us this trip.
1. I was not feeling well and stayed up half the night sick as a dog.
2. The weather was still very overcast and coldish.
3. The Pacific Ocean is freezing all the time.

Because of these things, there would not be any actual swimming or sunbathing.




We were not to be put off that easy though.  Bradley found a CVS a little under a mile from our hotel, and he walked there to get me some medicine.  After taking a healthy dose of Pepto Bismal and drinking some Gatorade, I felt up to walking across the street to the pier.


There were lots of things to look at there.  We walked around and browsed the stores.



We took some pictures in a photo booth at an arcade.




A machine like the one from BIG tried to coax us into getting our fortune told, but we were not about to fall for that one.



Bradley wanted to walk down to the beach and dip his toes in the water.





He soon learned that the water really is very cold.





We took some more pictures on the beach.









There were lots of kids out flying kites.



Bradley insisted on taking a picture with this canon...I wonder why.
